Deepavali - Festival of Lights: Nithyananda Morning Satsang (06 Nov 2010) Message

This morning Paramahamsa Nithyananda offered his blessings for Deepavali. It is not only one of India's most important celebrations, but this day commemorates Paramahamsa Nithyananda's first blessings given in Tamil after his enlightenment settled into his body. It was on Deepavali in the year 2000 that he came out of his 9 months of silence and uttered his first words as an Enlightened Master and Avatar, "Be Blissful". His message to us all was to understand the true meaning of Deepah, the lamp of knowledge. It is a mystical message which reminds us to see beyond the seen. All of our suffering comes from only seeing what is seen, which is based on our internal expectations. When we are stuck in what is seen, we create suffocation for ourselves. He reminds us to go beyond the seen, go beyond his image, to nirvikalpi. This creates breathing space within us. By seeing beyond what is seen, we will have dancing space, and extraordinary ecstasy. So often he sees people only picking what they want to see, not what he is offering. To be around him, it is important to be blissful and happy. Even one wound in your system, one samskara, will keep you missing him, abusing him. This creates a big problem for him. People need to break out of these flawed mental setups, and Deepavali is the day when new resolutions can be made and kept. Even Paramahamsa Nithyananda did this in Varanasi yesterday.
